Iggy and the Stooges "Raw Power" (1973)
Things were not going well for the Stooges. Electra weren't doing much
with them, so Iggy split to hang out with David Bowie in England. Bowie convinced
Iggy to bring the Stooges over and record what ended up being 'raw
power'.
Columbia were disgusted with the results, viewing them to be a step down
from the Electra material (which they were also not impressed with) and
instructed Bowie to do the best he could to clean up the material...
Bowie though stuck with Iggy's original vision and delivered up the 8 tracks of
raucous punky rock energy... raw power indeed!
