Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson "Winter in America" (1974)
When a street poet gets together with a talented keyboardist, you wind up
with an album of gorgeous fusiony soul and blues. Gil mixes spoken
word discourse with gentle soulful crooning to create an album that would
see GSH name-checked as the godfather of rap.
Good, but not a lot else to say about this one.
