The Zombies "Odessey and Oracle" (1968)
The Zombies had released an album in 65 that enjoyed moderate
success, but after 2 or 3 years of near constant touring they decided
that the music thing wasn't really working out. They resolved to break
up after making one more album, meaning that they wouldn't need to worry
about its commercial success or lack thereof. That approach led to them make this thoroughly interesting pop album with their biggest hit to date "Time
of the season".
The guy who painted their album cover misspelt Odyssey but the band stuck with it.
